Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information 766 Auto Inc (“766 Auto Inc,” “we,” “us”) collects through the 766auto.com website, by phone, email and in person, and through messages sent to our Google Business Profile, and how we use it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use a form, call, email or message us, you may give us:
- Contact details: your name, phone number and email address, and how you prefer to be reached (for example, call or text).
- Vehicle details: year, make and model, approximate mileage, whether it drives, the work or symptoms you describe, warning lights, and anything else you write in the details field.
- Scheduling preferences: a preferred day and time window, if you give one.
- Coupon codes you enter.
- The contents of your messages, calls and emails with us, and any information you choose to include in them.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the website, we and the providers that support it may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and how you interact with it. See “Analytics, advertising and cookies” below.
Information from Google. If you message us through our Google Business Profile, we receive your message and the information Google provides along with it, which depends on Google’s service and your settings.
How we use information
- To respond to your questions and requests, and to contact you about your vehicle using the method you chose.
- To prepare estimates, arrange service, perform and follow up on repairs, and honor warranties.
- To apply coupons and offers.
- To operate, maintain and secure the website, understand how it is used, and measure and improve our advertising.
- To meet legal, tax and recordkeeping obligations, and to protect our business and customers.
Kinds of messages
- Messages you start. We use what you send us to reply to you.
- Service communications. We use your contact details to reach you about the inquiry or service you asked about, such as estimates, scheduling, repair updates, pick-up and warranty follow-up.
- Promotional marketing. Choosing “Call” or “Text” as your preferred contact method does not give permission for unrelated marketing messages. Entering your details into our shop systems for a repair does not by itself mean you agreed to receive marketing. Promotional marketing sent through Square requires you to opt in first, and Square manages the unsubscribe options in those messages.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
Our website uses the Google tag to connect to Google Analytics 4 (for website analytics) and Google Ads (for advertising measurement). These technologies use cookies and similar tools and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location, pages viewed, how you arrived at the site, and how you interact with it, including moving between pages. Google handles this information under its own policies, and we do not control those practices.
We also use Google Search Console. It reports to us how our pages appear in Google Search, such as search queries and page performance in aggregate. It is a reporting tool for site owners and is separate from analytics or advertising tags.
- You can control or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can use Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on and Google Ads Settings.
- The website also stores a few small items in your browser, such as a record that a coupon offer was already shown during your visit, or the date a Crystal Ball reward coupon was issued, so those features work properly. You can clear them in your browser settings.
- Sites you open from our links, such as Google Maps, Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Carfax, may use their own cookies under their own policies.
Google Business Profile messaging and AI assistance
- Messages you send through our Google Business Profile pass through Google’s services. Google handles them under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Replies may be drafted or sent with automated or AI-assisted tools, and a member of our team may take over the conversation. Message content may be processed by those tools in order to answer you.
- We use messages to answer your inquiry and to follow up on service. Please do not send payment card numbers, passwords or other highly sensitive information in a message.
Google’s practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. Information may be shared with analytics or advertising providers, as described above, so they can provide measurement and advertising services. We share information only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers. Our website hosting and form-processing providers handle form submissions and deliver them to us by email. Other providers that support our business, such as email, phone and messaging services, may also handle your information on our behalf. See “Shop systems, Square and CARFAX” below.
- Google. Google processes messages sent through Google Business Profile and any analytics or advertising data described above. When you tap a directions link, Google Maps opens and handles that request under Google’s policies.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
- Business changes. Information may transfer if the business is sold or reorganized.
Shop systems, Square and CARFAX
- PM Attendant. We use PM Attendant, our shop-management software, to manage repair orders and customer service. We enter information you give us in the course of service, which may include your name, phone number, email address, vehicle identification number (VIN) and vehicle service details.
- CARFAX. PM Attendant is connected to CARFAX for vehicle information, such as VIN decoding, and related service-record features. Information entered into PM Attendant may be sent to or processed through CARFAX as part of that connection. Vehicle service records we report to CARFAX may appear on that vehicle’s CARFAX history reports. To our knowledge, customer names and contact details are not included on those reports. CARFAX may use vehicle and service information for its own products and services, under its own terms and privacy policy, which you can find on the CARFAX website. CARFAX may email customers service reminders that invite them back to our shop. These reminders do not contain promotions or discounts from us, and the emails include a link to opt out of them.
- Square. We use Square to send promotional marketing to customers who have opted in. Square manages those marketing messages and the unsubscribe options in them.
- No marketing consent from service records. Being entered into PM Attendant for a repair does not by itself mean you agreed to receive promotional marketing.
Coupons, sharing and your device
When you text, email, save or share a coupon, your device’s own sharing features do the work. We do not receive the recipient’s details, and we do not send messages or emails for you.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements, such as service records, warranty support and tax or accounting rules. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website, message or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy requests
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email johnny@766auto.com or call (512) 766-2886, and tell us your name, how to reach you, and what you are asking for.
- We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
- We will respond as required by applicable law.
- Deletion is subject to applicable law and our legitimate recordkeeping needs, so we may keep some information, such as service and warranty records, when we are required or permitted to.
- You can also tell us how you do or do not want to be contacted. Messages sent through Google Business Profile are also controlled by your Google settings.
Children
The website is intended for adults who own or manage vehicles. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when this version took effect. See also our Terms of Service.
